Star Of The North Regatta Participants



Here are your assignments for the rest of this week:



  1.. Go to wyc.org and click on the regatta section, then Star of the North
to be directed to the Star of the North web site. (wyc.org/star) Read up on
your regatta and go to the registration page and sign up. You will be able
to use your paypal account or a credit card to pay for your registration and
other purchases. A paypal account is not required. If you choose not to
register on line, please send your check and information to:

  2.. Determine how you can help and contact your fleet regatta chairman to
sign up. You can find email links in the contacts on the web page. Here is
what is needed:
a)      Solicitors from each fleet for Sponsorships and Raffle items. If you
have a contact that would be willing to sponsor beer or rum let your fleet
regatta chairman know. A band sponsor would be great. Food sponsors for
snack food or breakfast food are needed. Of course we want to have a great
raffle. Sign up if you can help.

b)     A representative from each fleet is needed to design and order the
regatta tee shirts. This needs to be done in the next week or two to get
delivery.

c)      We need a food chairperson to oversee the meals. It is best if this
person is not racing. Many hands are also needed to help prepare, serve, and
clean up. Connie is catering dinner Saturday night, but even she needs help
serving and cleaning up.

d)     Several helpers are needed to assist on the race committee and help
on one of the three committee boats needed to run the trapezoidal course.



Get your regatta crew together and tune up that A game. This will be a fun
time for all to be involved with.
