I've been to some big regattas, and it's pretty much unheard of to have the entire boat receive red hats. 

So pay back the favor and put your name on the dotted line ASAP.

  Thanks for giving them crap.  Odell is right... he's 
  the fleet captain and HE hasn't even registered yet!  We have a long 
  tradition of no one registering until the day before the regatta.  It 
  drives the organizers nuts!  I'm hoping the Mount Gay Hat bribery will turn 
  the tide.  I will put your hat in the mail today.

  I don't know how many Capri 25s came to the National 
  Championship in Berkeley (I could not find results on the web site), but we had 
  19 last year, and I'm hoping to top 20 this year.  You're gonna be in Capri 
  25 heaven!

  By the way, have you made arrangements for housing, or 
  should I assign someone to help with that?  Just FYI, I have heard that 
  there will be 3 Sonar boats/crews coming from Winnipeg, Manitoba.  Not as 
  far as California, to be sure, but at least you don't need a 
  passport!

      until midnight on Tuesday, September 1, to register and receive an EXTRA Mount 
      Gay Rum Red Hat.  All 
      skippers registered by midnight will receive their EXTRA hat this Thursday 
      night at the club.  (Each registered boat will receive 4 hats at 
      registration on September 17/18.)   This "extra hat" offer will not 
      be extended.  Sorry if you cannot register by the deadline.  
      Hopefully, there will be a few hats left to use as raffle prizes, so buy 
      raffle tickets and you get another chance!

    I just received a 
      proof of the tee shirt design.  The 
      picture is too large to include in a List Server email.  If you 
      would like to see the tee shirt, please respond and I will email it to you 
      individually.  The size of the emailed picture is 3 MB. 
       Hopefully, you will like the design as much as I do, and you will just 
      have to have one (or 2).  Available in both short-sleeve ($15) and 
      long-sleeve ($18).  Order shirts by September 3rd to 
      guarantee delivery in time for the regatta.  Order shirts on the regatta 
      registration page.  Anyone can place a shirt order.  You don't have 
      to be the skipper.
