Christine is looking for a regular crew spot for Thursday nights on a Capri.
She has a pretty good level of experience and, better yet, she really wants
to participate. 

 

Please reach out to Christine.  She has taken the time to request a spot in
our fun group.  Let her know of your crew needs or pass along a name of any
boat that needs another solid crew member.

Thanks for your inquiry.  Your description of your experience closely
matches many Capri 25 crew people. You will fit right in. and this is a
perfect time to get lined up for the summer season.  I am glad you contacted
me and I am sure a Capri would be glad to have you on board.

 

Would it be ok if I forwarded your email on to the fleet.  I am sure it
would generate interest. If you do not get picked up in a week or so, you
could let me know and I would be happy to work Plan B.

Hi John -
 
I read your stuff on the website about the Capri fleet. I've been "spare
crewing" the last couple of years, and spent a good part of two seasons ago
with Bruce and Bridgid on Fat Boys High. I'm disappointed that they are
moving on to other activities, but I would like to sail more regularly than
I did last year. I did a few rides with John Pehrson and his team on the J24
last year, and was glad to see him up and about at the crew open house
 
I have lots of somewhat rusty sailing experience (started - gulp- over 40
years ago!). Raced Xs and M-16s at MYC in my youth. I've fun-sailed
keelboats over the years, but my racing experience is limited to my past 2
years at WYC. I know all the basics, but need a little training before
volunteering for foredeck duties. I do, however, know how to get the
beverages out as soon as the race is over!
 
I'd like to sail on Thursdays, and I was hearing about some joint Wednesday
activity with MYC that sounded just my speed. I'm out of town on weekends,
so I'm really looking for a Thursday-only spot. 
 
I'd appreciate any suggestions you might have to find a more regular crew
spot.
