Dear Wayzata YC Capri 25 sailors,

I am a fellow Capri 25 owner from the Great Lakes who has quietly been
on your email list for quite some time, and I have enjoyed watching your
program from afar. I now need to reach out to your group to ask for some
advice. I have hull number CPSK0021M801, which features the old design,
aluminum extruded gooseneck mast fitting that is no longer provided by
Catalina Direct, and mine's shot. As a reference I have a set of
drawings that I think I initially acquired from your site, or maybe the
Catalina Association Forum...which doesn't appear to be very up to date
anymore...drawing number 24.5-33020-0.  The recommended Catalina Direct
gooseneck retrofit replacement part is not compatible with the
corresponding boom fitting, and because of the construction of the boom
itself, there is incompatibility with the replacement gooseneck casting.
Ideally I would like to find a source where I could just get an exact
replacement part for the mast fitting and be done with it. Is there such
a source in your experience? And if not, has anybody else
encountered...and solved...this problem?
