Ahoy Capri 25 Sailors. This is your outgoing social Chair Kathie Wright announcing that I will once again be hosting an Academy Awards party on Sunday March 2nd. Unlike the past, this year the party will be held in Hopkins and not at the WYC clubhouse. Apparently there are people who don't live in the west metro that asked if I could move the party to a more central location. I hope Hopkins will work for them...and it's not that far from Wayzata either.

Movie afternoon                                     Glam evening

4:00 Movie  “Nebraska” nominated for 6 Academy Awards including Best Picture
6:30 The Twin Cities Glam begins
Ladies: Wear your evening gowns and thumb your nose at this winter. There is a red carpet!
Gentlemen: If you absolutely can’t dress up, then at the very least, wear a “Tuxedo T-shirt”, but remember, “Every girl’s crazy bout a sharp dressed man”.
I will provide wine and some food, but please bring a dish to share. You may also bring your own beverage. As usual there will be Oscar trivia as well as official ballots for selecting who you think the winners will be.
