[Capri25] Bert Foster High School Regatta Saturday July 15th

Thanks Capri Fleet for helping out with the third annual High School Rumble
Regatta in Bert Foster name Saturday July 15th, 2017.

 

Youths are told to come at 9:00AM to Wayzata Yacht Club.  Captains at
9:30AM.  Start is at 10:30.  

We piggy back the Bob Slocum Fun Regatta and finish racing at 12:00 and
picnic until 1:00PM.

It's been really fun for all.

 

Our objective is to make it a fun experience and to let them know they are
always welcome to come back and sail at Wayzata Yacht Club.  All youths
going into 7th grade and graduating seniors who have participated in racing
are invited from all schools.  Most have not raced on a Capri so it takes
time to set up and practice.

 

It will be a Rumble in Wayzata Bay with back to back races.  Last year youth
steered.  Penalty turns will be a 360. The race committee will provide
starting sequence and instructions.

  

We never know how many youths will show so be flexible we may not need your
boat but can always use captains and volunteers on other boats to help
coach.
