It is twelve teams invited by US Sailing from different regions around the country (teams selected are from NY, HI, NJ, LA, TX, MI, MA, OH, CO, CA, WYC, and MYC). It will be in J/22s and will be taking place on the main lake from 9/26-29 (but the spectator boat will only be available on the 27th and/or 28th due to it’s availability and based on interest by spectators to use it). We have two local teams competing and Hawaii’s skipper Maddie Kennedy is from the WYC/MYC!

The format will be a lot of short W2-4 length races with legs about .3-.4 in length, potentially 8-10 races a day.

It'd be very helpful to know a basic outline here
- How many boats racing
- Format
- Days, dates (is it this Thrs and Fri?)

I'd likely be in. Same as Charlie.

I would commit to paying $30 for 2 days, whether I can actually get out or not. Depends if Jeff has me working on his boat check-in committee those days! This is a rare event for our club!!

Thanks for organizing!

Hi All!

We are discussing lining up a big boat (with cold buffet and cash bar) for one or possibly two afternoons of racing. It’s an Al and Almas boat that comfortably holds 40 and has an enclosed portion and a top deck that can be open or enclosed depending on weather. The boat would leave the WYC dock promptly on Thursday and/or Friday at 1 and return at 4.

Before we go through the hassle and expense of setting this up, we want to gauge interest in spectating. It would be a chance to see what the event is like, cheer on our local teams (they would love the support), and hang out on the water with our membership (we all love to do that!). If interest is high, it will be first to respond to me gets on the boat.

I need to know today to book this boat, so please respond ASAP.

Please send me a quick note telling me:
1) your name
2) the day(s) you are interested in attending
3) the number of people in your party for each day
4) whether you would attend, if the cost was $15 per day.
