Hello. I hope this finds everyone doing well. It has been some time since
I have updated the fleet, but rest assured, we have been diligently working
on important Fleet # 1 issues throughout the winter. Here is the latest
Fleet # 1 News:

J22 Mindwinters - <http://www.j22southwest.org/midwinters/index.php>
Houston Yacht Club - February 16-19, 2006
Several Fleet # 1 teams are planning on making the trek down to Texas. If
you are planning on attending - please send me an email with your team info,
so I can publish the list of participants from our fleet - and we can root
you on. If we can't make it down there, at least we can live through those
of you that can. Here is who is registered so far:

Irish Temper - Dan Towey
Norwegian Woody - Jappa Lovald
Old Skool - Lars Hansen

Midwinter Madness Party - Saturday March 4 - or Saturday March 11
We are tentatively scheduling the Fleet # 1 Midwinter party for the evening
of either Saturday March 4 - or Saturday March 11. I will be sending out a
special notice about the party shortly. This is going to be the 'kickoff'
for the much anticipated 2006 season - so please plan on attending. We are
going focus on several important issues including 2006 NAs, the revised 2006
schedule, and volunteer recruitment. As usual, we will have food, drinks,
and fun for the whole family.

2006 J22 NAs - Lake Minnetonka, MN
Thorn Turner and his talented team of volunteers has been doing an excellent
job of forging ahead with efforts around the 2006 NAs. Many key elements
are coming together, but many more things still need to be completed.
Please contact Thorn to become involved thorn_turner at uhc.com. And check out
the updated NAs website:

Schedule Changes - A great season shaping up
2006 presents a challenge for Fleet # 1 from a scheduling perspective, and
a lot of thought has gone into these changes. Please reply to me with your
feedback.

Important proposed changes to the 2006 schedule:
Cool Icebreaker - moved up 1 week - Saturday/Sunday April 22 & 24
Fleet #1 Training Clinic - Saturday/Sunday April 29 & 30 (WYC Tune Up Race
Weekend)
Evergreen Cup/Districts - Moved to Labor Day Weekend - Saturday/Sunday
September 2 & 3
