Yes, that would be a very strong woman indeed.  Perhaps Shellie meant
winch?  Not the be confused with a witch, who could probably hold the
boat up with magic but wouldn't be so inclined to help in that way. 
But then again, if a woman were so inclined to help with this task, I
don't think it would be nice to call her either a wench or a witch.  I
think it would be best to say, "thank you" and offer to pick up the tab
for dinner.
