Perhaps the skippers sailing "wet bottom boats" this coming weekend
might know of their crew whom could be available to provide opportunity
for getting more J22's out?  At least one boat I know of looking...

Hello everyone.  2007 is underway and I am excited to say we are off to
another good year.   Our first combined Champ race last Saturday hosted
by MYC drew a good group of boats, with some very healthy competition
during both races.  Thursday evenings at WYC are as popular as ever,
with several new faces getting into the mix.  And our long standing
Sunday champ series is off to an excellent start.  

 

With some of our perennial fleet champions taking a deserved break, this
is a great year to try and add to your trophy collection J It could be
your year !   

 

Upcoming J22 Fleet # 1 Events - Mark you Calendar

WSF open house - Friday June 1 <http://www.wyc.org/wsf/default.htm> 

Please join us for an Open House at WYC, Friday June 1 from 5pm - 8pm.
You will learn about our dreams for the future Community Sailing Center
and how you can participate to make the dream come true!  This is a once
in a lifetime chance for our club - so take time to find out the latest
at the open house !  

 

MYC and LMSS Open House - Saturday June 2 

Saturday is the MYC and LMSS Open House from 1:30 - 5:30, rain or shine.
Everyone is welcome to come out for free sailboat rides.  

 

ADA Regatta - Saturday June 9 & 10 <http://www.wyc.org/ada.htm>  

Still time to sign up and sponsor this great event.  If enough J22's
enter - we can have our own start.  Sail for a great cause.  

 

A Series Party - Sunday June 17

We want to go big this year with an outstanding A series party.  We are
going to couple this with the WYC crew drive as well.  I really need
some volunteers to step up and help with this.  But do not just step up
yourself....get you whole team involved.   Planning is in the works - so
drop me an email and I will get you in the mix.  

 

MYC Grill and Chill  - Wednesday June 27 <http://www.mycsailing.org/> 

Possibly the best race (rally) of the summer.  Come and enjoy a
beautiful evening with great food and company on Minnetonka Yacht Club
island.  MYC J22 fleet is putting together another fabulous dinner, so
join our friends across the lake for a taste of the good life.
Summertime and the living is easy....

 

Reminders - Please do not forget:

If you or your crew race 3-5 times you are a WYC regular, and are
expected to become a crew member.  Encourage all of our J22 regulars to
become WYC crew members.  It is the best $75 they will ever spend.  

 

Parking

Remember to park in designated WYC parking areas.  Parking in
neighborhoods and in front of houses is strictly prohibited.  Let's do
our part to be courteous to WYC neighbors.
