[J22-Fleet 1] MS Cup with Burton Cup

2008 Burton Cup- still the same, but now there is even more to sail for!

Hi all!
With the blessing of the Burton Family, and the MYC Board of Directors, this
year we are adding an honorary "event" on top of the Burton Cup race on
Saturday. August 23rd called the MS Cup!

All boats from the Minnetonka and Wayzata Yacht Clubs are invited to sail in
the race! MYC fleets start at 10:00am, and WYC fleets start at 10:30am.
Please note: As usual, MYC's J-22s will start with the Wayzata YC J-22
start. It looks like over 100 boats should be on the lake for the race!

There are no specific additional trophies or awards planned for the MS Cup,
although it is my hope to consider options for that in future years. In the
meantime, contributions of any amount to support MS research are welcome,
and truly appreciated! 

Donations to the National MS Society can be made in either of two ways.
Follow the link below to the MS Cup page, and you can make a secure online
contribution. (Link at bottom of this email)

I will also be at the annual corn roast on Lighthouse Island at 6pm,
displaying the "Team Sail" banner. I'll be there to answer questions about
MS, to accept additional contribtions for the MS Society, and to enjoy a
great dinner, of course! My sincere thanks for your generous support, and
for helping me make a difference to find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis!
