I think they are actually bull dozers on the bottom of the lake that
were clearing the trees.....i think they got stuck or there was some
reason they left them on the bottom....friggin red necks...

 

As indicated, this is a great venue and the locals are the best!   You
could probably find housing if you reached out...Just to re-emphasize
what Kevin said, full bar and a great bartender...

Just got off the phone with J22 friends in the South inviting us to come
down for the NA's next year:

 

J22 2009 North American Championship - Rush Creek YC, Heath, TX

September 29-October 2, 2009

Racing days are set for Tuesday, September 29th through Friday, August
2, with awards following Friday racing.  A warm-up regatta (the RCYC
George Griffith Regatta) is planned for the weekend before the regatta
(September 26 & 27).  Information about RCYC and Lake Ray Hubbard can be
found at www.rcyc.org.  More information about the regatta to come.

 

One of the easiest rides to a J22 regatta. Straight down I35 to Dallas
(about 15 hours).  RCYC feels like home: fully-stocked bar, shi fty
lake, and the locals are very friendly.
