[J22-Fleet 1] Cool Cup Update

Fleet 1,
 
So far I have 11 boats that have either said they’re racing or have paid up.  If 
you haven’t yet responded please let me know if you’re planning on sailing so we 
can get a better count for food, etc.
 
Blake has room for one additional person on Jurisprudence if anyone would like 
to get out and watch, and I’ll have room for at least one person on Bailiff.  
All we ask is that you bring a lifejacket if you can, and something to eat as we 
may be out on the water most of the day.  Show time is 8:30 both days, please 
let me know in advance.
 
A few other quick things:    
 
Weather:  The good news is we should have great breeze all weekend.  However, 
Saturday morning does not look good as of now.  Given that this is opening 
weekend, the water temp, etc. we will watch it closely and try to avoid having 
you out on the lake in an extended rain or possible squall.  This may mean an 
on-shore postponement, if so we’ll do our best to make it for a definite length 
of time, instead of making everyone sit around.  Blake will have the final say 
here.    
 
Registration:  I probably won’t get to the club until about 5:30 tomorrow 
evening for registration.  If you can get it done then it makes Saturday morning 
easier, but we will open again at 8:00 on Saturday.  
 
We will have T-shirts for sale courtesy of John Klick.  They were donated, and 
sales will support the Fleet.  Outfit your team with the latest gear!  

 
Social:  In recognition of Uno de Mayo (almost) Jill will have a fajita bar for 
dinner on Saturday, as well as burgers and brats on Sunday.  Any help you can 
provide, especially cleaning up afterward, is always appreciated.  Families are 
welcome.    
 
Unfortunately the rum gods did not smile on us this year so we’ll have all the 
mixers for the rum bar, but the good part will be BYO.  There will also be beer 
courtesy of Heineken.
