J/22 Fleet #1 Update




 


It's been a busy summer of racing for our fleet. We've had over 20 J/22s
competing, which is an impressive number of boats. As we head towards the
fall regatta season, there is still a lot of club racing going on. In
addition, we have a many of people who have contacted us to crew on J/22s.
So be sure to look at the list of them below.


Fleet #1 T-Shirts

 

Many thanks to Jeff Cameron on #1209 for designing the new Fleet #1
t-shirts!! Jeff had orders for over 115 shirts. He will be distributing them
the next several Thursdays both before and after racing. 

 




Rumble | Sunday, August 14 

 

11:00 am Warning Signal

 

2:00 pm After the Races Social 

 

Menu: Chicken breasts on the grill, street corn salad, baked beans and
dessert

 

Cost: $6 per person

Fynboh with the number of crew attending the clinic and the number staying
for food. 

 

Those that RSVP will be guaranteed food. Those that don't will be served
only if we have enough food.

 


Thursday Night Races

 

There are two more races remaining in the T Series, as the Sunset Series
concludes on 
August 18.

 

Please note that on August 25, the M Series begins, and the racing switches
to Wayzata Bay. The warning signal gets moved up to 5:45.

 


Sunday Championship Races

 

Sunday afternoons with a 2:00 pm warning signal. The C Series first race is
on August 21.

Bill Siemers is representing the J/22 fleet in the 2016 Championship of
Champions Regatta at the Minnetonka Yacht Club.
