Hello,

I'll be representing the J22 fleet this year at the annual MYC/WYC champion of champions regatta.

Does anyone know a very very very very small optimist-sized sailor who would be interested in crewing for me? (The smaller the better.) I'd rather give someone from within the fleet a chance to sail before reaching out to my sailing instructor siblings.

The event is in Club 420's at MYC on Wednesday, August 24. First start is at 6pm. There's an optional practice day at WCSC on the Tuesday before.

I would think you want some weight out on the trapeze. I can do it. I’m 170 #.

Another option is Emma AuBuchon in the Capri25 fleet. She has to be less than 100# and is a really good sailor.

J/22 Fleet #1 Update

It's been a busy summer of racing for our fleet. We've had over 20 J/22s competing, which is an impressive number of boats. As we head towards the fall regatta season, there is still a lot of club racing going on. In addition, we have a many of people who have contacted us to crew on J/22s.
So be sure to look at the list of them below.

Fleet #1 T-Shirts

Many thanks to Jeff Cameron on #1209 for designing the new Fleet #1 t-shirts!! Jeff had orders for over 115 shirts. He will be distributing them the next several Thursdays both before and after racing.

Rumble | Sunday, August 14

11:00 am Warning Signal

2:00 pm After the Races Social

Menu: Chicken breasts on the grill, street corn salad, baked beans and dessert

Cost: $6 per person

Thursday Night Races

There are two more races remaining in the T Series, as the Sunset Series concludes on August 18.

Please note that on August 25, the M Series begins, and the racing switches to Wayzata Bay. The warning signal gets moved up to 5:45.

Sunday Championship Races

Sunday afternoons with a 2:00 pm warning signal. The C Series first race is on August 21.
