The ultimate in J/22 club racing at WYC. 19 boats have competed so far.

June 5 | Rumble, Crewing Clinic and Social

Schedule: 

There will be time to rig your boats after the crew clinic's on-land
chalk-talk. 
You may rig beforehand if you prefer.

10:00 am Crewing Clinic with Jon Noller and Rod Komis, from J/22 #865.

1:00 pm Rumble Races Warning Signal

After the Races Social Menu: grilled chicken, zesty quinoa salad, broccoli
salad and dessert  Both salads are vegetarian and gluten free. 

Cost is $5 per person for food after the rumble.

number of crew attending the clinic and the number staying for food. 
Those that RSVP will be guaranteed food. Those that don't will be served
only if we have enough food.

June 4 | Combined Fleet Championship Continues

Come get two races in and share a beverage with friends after the races.
These high-quality races will continue on both Saturday and Sunday through
the end of June (with the exception of June 5). It's not too late to race
this series as there are 12 races still to go! 2:00 pm warning signals for
all races.

 

June 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30

June 11, 12 and 13, Team Dynamics
Andrew Kerr will offer on-land seminars, on-the-water coaching and
debriefing, along with on-shore lunches and dinners. 

You can attend in the mornings, and still catch the afternoon J/22 races.

Dave Cool Ice Breaker Regatta 

 

The Dave Cool Ice Breaker Regatta had a jaw-dropping 17 J/22's racing in
cool, windy conditions. Lars Hansen, Thorn Turner and Rod Komis on #865 won
the overall, with Maggie Olson being awarded the top female driver with 3
womens teams competing. Teams 810, 1318, 486 and 963 also took home
hardware, after the 2nd through 5th place boats were separated by 1 point,
and 2 tie-breakers being being needed to score them. 5 different teams won
races. 

 

The teams of Bill Siemers, Brent Peterson, Matt Carlson, Willie Foster and
Paul Cossette all mixed it up, scoring multiple top 10 finishes, in a very
tight battle for top 10 overall, in a talented fleet racing the Icebreaker
in years.

 

We welcomed Randy and Jane Gould to the J/22 fleet, along with Paul Lague
and Jochen Koenig on 335. 

 

Jill Fynboh and Judy Miller put on two fabulous social events. We also
enjoyed sharing the race course with our friends in the J/24 fleet. Thanks
to everyone who participated and volunteered. Specials thanks to our
