great recap lars, and great race dallas.....i wont be able to sail this weekend, but we have a ton of tshirts left from NA's (who has them by the way). if anyone could help off (sell cheap) at the last race, it is more jing for the fleet. with that being said. Tshirts are blowing out for $5.00 currently. Only short sleeved are available. lots of mediums i think too..

if you have t-shrits (noller?) can you reply to me at jklick@snazzyinc.com

if you are willing to be the fleet one sales rep and sell the shirts at the club this weekend, let me know and I can somehow figure out a way to match you up with the t's.

lastly, i know it has been awhile since the event, but i wanted to personally thank all the folks that worked so hard and voluntarily took on a second job to plan such a great north american event. kudos to all of you. it was epic and your hard work was appreciated by everyone, especially the out of towners...cheers!

also, thanks george for doing a great job as fleet captain in 2006!

I just could not match the boat speed or good tactics
of Dallas. In the short beat to the first buoy in Wayzata bay Dallas was
able to tag into a big rightly and led at the first mark, it was then a
boat speed battle on one long starboard tack all the way to Lafayette
bay. At the entrance to the bay I was able to catch up and was almost
even when Dallas locked into a left shift and launched himself again. My
secret trick of not using the pole to fly the spinnaker into Excelsior
bay gained boat lengths back on Dallas especially during the take down
as I was able to postpone the drop till the last moment but alas to no
avail. Dallas was still ahead by several boat lengths. On the long tight
reach to Wayzata Bay I was forced to defend against a Capris' that
wanted to go over me (no F*#King way was that going to happen) but that
caused me to lose touch with Dallas. Once past Spirit island I closed
the distance when Dallas sailed into a hole, but once again it did not
seem to matter. Every time I made some sensational feat of seamanship
Dallas would just sail away. Well done Dallas
This Saturday will be the last chance for you to join in the battle
Be there!

_______________________________________________
J22 mailing list
J22@lists.wyc.org
http://lists.wyc.org/mailman/listinfo/j22
