[J24 ListSrv] MYC Has a Strong Back and straps for their Crane. MYC Has Generously Offered WYC Members Free Use of Their Crane While Ours Is Broken

Hi all,

 

WYC crane was a more difficult repair than anticipated and will be out of
commission until the middle or end of next week.

 

We just found out that MYC has a strong back and straps for their crane.
This means that all WYC boats can be put in using the MYC Crane except the
S2 7.9 (too heavy) which can be ramp launched.

 

WYC members are welcome to put their boat in using the MYC Crane with no
charge.  Please use the following procedure:

1.    Call Tony, the MYC maintenance person, and make an appointment.  (612)
600-8231.

2.    Complete all of your boat preparation at home.

3.    MYC does not have a gin pole.  Drop your mast off in the WYC West
parking lot and take it out to the WYC gin pole.

4.    Tony will meet you at the Crane, use his swipe card to turn it on, and
assist you in putting your boat in.

5.    There is no MYC charge for this service but please give Tony a $20
bill as a tip for helping you out.
