Greetings J/24 sailors! 

Very exciting to see so many J/24s confirming for Dave Cool Icebreaker Regatta! 

I wanted to reach out for any volunteers to be Ugotta Race Chair this year. We had nominated Josh to do again this year but he is unable. I have all of his information from organizing last years and I will personally be willing to help and i will also volunteer the Borked Racing team to help out during event. Please email me if you are interested in taking on this role. Or perhaps we look at setting it up as a committee.


You probably all have seen the WYC schedule but I wanted to call attention to some specific J/24 event dates @ WYC and within District 15.
• May 13th through 14th - Dave Cool Memorial Icebreaker Regatta, Hosted by WYC J/22 Fleet #1
• June 11th - J/24 Fleet #1 First Rumble in the Bay
• June 23rd through 25th - J/24 District 15 Championship, Hosted by the Duluth Yacht Club
• July 23rd - J/24 Fleet #1 Second Rumble in the Bay
• July 28th through 30th -  Race week, Hosted by Sheridan Shores Yacht Club (Possibly The J/24 Great Lakes Regional Championships)
• August 13th - J/24 Fleet #1 Third Rumble in the Bay
• October 7th through 8th - Ugotta Regatta, hosted by WYC J/24 Fleet #1
We are going to try do Facebook event signups for the Rumbles this year and seems logical to cancel any that do not have at least 5 boats to make them worth while. I will also send emails prior for those that are not Facebook users to try get as much participation as possible. I will plan to provide burgers, brats or perhaps fish tacos for after each Rumble in hopes that you will join us for a day of fun on and off the water. 

P.S. Let me know if anyone needs help putting in. I have a truck and am willing to assist in any way I can.
