Thorn those are great ideas,I'd let them explore the town , the brew works would love the business, one night, We loved exploring the towns we traveled to. A sit down for 100 is a ton of work, and everyone is shot at the end of the day, plus like you said its cold out by then...Steve

Gang, a couple minor thoughts here, certainly nothing we can't resolve in the next year:
daylight gets to be a bit of an issue this late in the year. Sunrise isn't until 7:40 and competitors will probably want to leave the docks by 8:00 for a 10:00 start, especially if it's light. We can still sail until 5:00 or so if needed but be aware if will be dark and likely chilly for the evening events so outdoor / tents may be less attractive. I remember this being an issue for the 22 NA's and that was a couple weeks earlier in the year.
The schedule below shows three catered events including one "fancier, sitdown" type. We need to make sure the cost of these are included, I'm guessing there will be close to 100 people if 20 boats (minimum 60 competitors, family, guests, RC, etc.). How about one "open" evening, probably Thursday, and possibly an alternate venue for one of the evenings? Again, plenty of time here.
Finally, have we resolved who's the "host" of this. Obviously Jeff and the 22 Fleet are taking the lead but given this is a US Sailing Championship event, shouldn't WYC be the host? Beth, is this something to bring up on Monday?
Thanks -
Thorn

Okay, what Jeff said. I change my proposal to the one that Jeff already came up with, and I take full credit for it. 9/25-9/29.
Any objections? Anyone see major conflicts/issues? Anyone else we need to ask?
Thanks,OT

I'll keep this short. It looks like we need to lock down dates for this event.
I propose Sept 20-23. That has the best chance of wind, and slightly fewer powerboats. It still leaves us with 9/7 or 9/14 weekends for the SotN.
What are your thoughts?
Who else should we consult?
Thanks,
OT
