Rudy,

We typically cross-sheet the Genoa and use “lopez-style” blocks.  A modern version of this block is the Harken 2683 75mm Carbo Ratchmatic w/cam cleat (you remove the strap covering the cam cleat). These allow the trimmer to quickly pull the Genoa in 90% of the way by hand and temporarily cleat the sheet at the block. Then wrap the loose tail around the winch and crank in the last 10% from the high side - the Lopez block will automatically release the line as the winch takes over tension.  If you don’t want to use the Lopez method you can just get “normal” Harken 2680 Ratchmatics.  Happy to answer any questions. Others may have different (and cheaper) suggestions.
