His <SPAN style="BORDER-BOTTOM: medium none; BACKGROUND: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; CURSOR: hand" id=lw_1300901119_1 class=yshortcuts>blood sugar level</SPAN> was at 1270. The doctors said he was within a half hour of dying. John was on a respirator , dialysis, fighting infections etc. until mid January with moments of awareness of those around him.
