Average ice out for Lake Minnetonka is April 13. It’ll be open in time for the Icebreaker Regatta. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The boats stored in Glencoe are going to be available for pickup tomorrow, April 9. There are a few more weeks to get your boat, do spring maintenance and get it into the water before the <a href="https://www.wyc.org/cool">Dave Cool Icebreaker Regatta</a> (April 30 and May 1). <b>To help us with planning food, please <a href="https://www.wyc.org/page/show/4967186-regatta-registration-and-payment">register for the Icebreaker</a> ASAP</b>. This is a regatta for the hearty J/22 and J/24 sailors that are eager to race in the cold and typically very windy conditions – baptism by fire. Dave Cool enjoyed helping get others involved in sailing. He worked hard to help encourage the J/22 fleet to get their boats in the water and ready to sail.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The weather for the Icebreaker the last few years has been favorably warm (for sailors wearing appropriate gear) with just the right amount of wind.
