[J70] 2021 WYC Fleet Captains Meeting - recap

Hi folks-

I attended the 2021 WYC Fleet Captains Meeting last night as we prepare for
the 2021 Season.  Here are a few of the topics we discussed.

Parking-
*Owners *park in West Lot. We have a newly graded and graveled lot this
year.  There is no more "Center Car" chain, so please make sure you park
like you're in Chicago, nice and straight and tight to the other car.

*Crew *park in the East Lot, same directions, park tight, you'll see a
center white line, that is so cars park bow to stern.

Memberships-
*Owners*- please make sure your memberships are paid prior to racing. YOU
WILL NOT BE SCORED if you are not current.  PAY HERE

*Crew*- after 3 races it is EXPECTED that your crew memberships are paid in
full CREW PAY HERE <https://www.wyc.org/membership>

*2Man Mondays*- open to ALL fleets / boats
The club is offering 2 Man Mondays ( or single hand) . It's for fun, no
points for boat of the year or trophies. One big start all PHRF. You can
use your Spinnaker or go Non-spinnaker and get a PHRF bump on your rating.
This is going to be really fun!

*New "F" Mark.*
The J70s have a new "F" Mark this year. It's a green mark and may be placed
to downwind of the gates or leeward mark.  This will hopefully help give us
a bit more separation from the other fleets at busy leeward mark roundings.

*COVID*-
Clubhouse is open for restrooms and limited to 15 people
We can have 50 people on patio
Mask up at ALL TIMES when on the grounds, near other people. ( if you are
all alone working on your boat or whatever you don't need to wear a mask)
Minnesota Guidelines require us to wear masks if we are sailing with 4
non-family members.  If you sail with 3 you don't need to wear a mask.  If
it's all household you don't need to wear a mask.  We don't know yet what
the guidelines will be if your team is all full Vaxed.  Time will tell. Be
a good steward and wear your mask please when on docks and other people are
around.

J70 Stuff-
Last week we had our annual Owners Meeting- I can't send the attachment via
list server, if you'd like to see it let me know I can send it to you

May 1-2
*Saturday *2 pm Wayzata Bay
Practice Starts
Practice W/Ls focused on boat handling
Debrief J24 Island
*Sunday *2 pm Main Lake Tune Up race with WYC
