[J70] F mark confusion

Hi Terry,

I think the F mark is shown below the start line, but when we have used it in a race it has been the pin from the starting line. That is fine, but not as shown.

A second point is rule 18.4 applies when the leeward mark is not a gate. I think most people don’t know this rule exists. Perhaps we could do a refresher.

The thinking is to give the J70’s a separate leeward mark to round, eliminating congestion with other fleets. As a general rule, but not always, it will be the old Green starting mark.

This means that you would use the gates as a leeward mark and the Green Start/Finish/”F” mark is for staring and finishing. SO even the green mark is in the water, you only use it for starting and finishing because your course is a 4 not a 4F.
