Hey PHRFers!

Some news from the Fleet Captains meeting last night.

1) The A docks are coming along and should be ready sometime the first week
of May. Looks like all the new posts are in. If you are on A Dock, do NOT
launch your boat if your slip is not done and you have no place to park.
Play nice! Odds are on the dock finishing before ice out anyway.

2) The crane will remain powered off until the bay is safe. This is for
your own (and your boats!) protection.

3) The racing schedule is in flux because of the late ice out. Keep your
eyes and ears open for updates.

4) Once the crane is open, don't expect any race held 1-4 days of that date
to be an official scored race. It will likely be a practice race, to be
fair and allow boats to launch and prep in an orderly manner.

5) There will be LOTS of volunteer opportunities this year with two big
regattas at WYC. See Terry Foster

 if interested.

6) Speaking of big regattas, take a look at the last Weathermark for
details on the Mallory Cup and the Womans Regatta. Form a team!

7) Bayfield Race Week is going to be HUGE this year! 40th edition and over
50 boats, including a small boat division. And special incentive for small
boats and first time registrants. Or go crew, boats are always looking for
people. There is no racing that week at WYC. See me or David Crum

 for more info.

8) Owners, make SURE your dues and ratings form are in. Hard to win with a
PHRF handicap of 1.

9) Crew, don't forget to re-up your crew membership. You'll get your pass
to park in our great new crew lot!

See everyone on the water!
