Hey PHRFers!
Last night the club held a meeting on how the mooring priority works. In
the Weathermark newsletter, they presented a rather ominous slide showing
the detail. Your intrepid scribe was there to record the proceedings. The
big news is, there is no big news. The existing mooring assignment process,
as described in the WYC bylaws and in use for years, continues on unchanged
for this year. If you were in the marina last year you will be again. But
there are four points to note, mostly driven by higher-than-normal demand
for spots.

PAY YOUR DEPOSIT BY DEC 31 - Cannot stress that enough. If you miss that
date, you run the real risk of losing your priority. You have been warned!

As always, you might be assured a spot, but the club holds the right to
position you as needed. Draft is always the biggest factor, but other
factors play as well. As more new boats come in, there might be some
juggling. It's uncommon, but if it happens to you, be cool!

If you are part of an ownership partnership, you need to be prepared to
show documented proof the equity split. Every 'partner' must have at least
10% equity in the boat. This is not new, but the club want to tighten up on
that.

The club is looking to update the by-laws regarding mooring priority. Have
some thoughts on that, share them at manager at wyc.org

So pay your deposit now, and sleep easy!
