[S2] J/22 North American Championship Volunteers Needed! Crew List, Spectating on Saturday, June 22, and Merchandise

Hi Everyone!

We have 34 boats presently signed up for this event which should be excellent, both on the water and off!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
The J/22 Fleet has most things covered for the event, but does need some help from outside the fleet for a few things.  If you can help, we would really appreciate it!  The volunteer slots we need filled are posted in the DIBS board at: https://www.wyc.org/dib_sessions/show/32395.  The jobs are food prep and clean up, registration, and regatta merchandise sale and take place while we are on the water or during meal/social times when the fleet members will be occupied by participating in event activities.  You will get food, if it is being served, and a regatta t-shirt.

CREW LIST
There is a crew board for sailors that are interested in racing the J/22 North American Championship on June 20-23.  I have heard there are a couple boats looking to fill spots (maybe even a skipper) and an out of town boat may need someone.  It would be a good idea to list your general sailing experience and any J/22 specific experience and what crew positions you can do and what you are best at.

If you are a boat looking for crew, there is a spot for that as well.

SPECTATING
We have had some inquiries about spectating and are discussing options including a charter boat on Saturday.  If we don't have a charter, there may be room on boats already going out to watch the race and that would be free, but we would need to arrange a spot for you or your group. Proposed race times are:
Thursday (Practice Race) 4:00-5:00
Friday 10:00-4:00
Saturday 10:00-4:00
Sunday 10:00-2:00

Please send me a note at cameron at bipl.net<mailto:cameron at bipl.net> if you are interested in spectating and if you would be willing to pay $20 per person for a charter boat with light snacks/cash bar on Saturday from 11-2.  Please include:
1) times interested in spectating
2) number in your group for each time you are interested (4 for Friday 11-2)
3) interest in the $20 charter
We will try to place all spectators, but as you might imagine, matching sailors with boats going out and times may be a little difficult, so we will do our best.

MERCHANDISE
The online merchandise site is open!  There will be limited merchandise on site, so get your orders in online, if possible.
