Not all of you may have met and visited with Cheryl Bangasser since she and her husband, Chuck, started racing with Varmint, #159. Cheryl had major heart surgery yesterday, Sept. 22, to repair a valve and an aorta carotid. This had been scheduled as a preventative surgery. She is doing very well, her breathing and heart are very strong. She is currently at Abbott. Their home address is 13105 35th Avenue North, Plymouth 55441.
 
Because she will be recovering, Varmint came off the water last week-end, but Chuck is another person to contact for crew.
 
Meanwhile, Frank and I are off to Italy tomorrow, Thursday. Hope to see you all at the Banquet or if not there, at a winter bowling party! We bought the bowling party for 60 at the ADA silent auction last July, thinking it would provide a fun venue for some winter "bonding." Dust off that bowling ball and keep the muscles in shape...CJ

Tom Brown has been out with us twice and is now looking for Sonars on the east coast.  He and his son will be sailing with us this weekend.  His father would like to crew on Sunday.  It would be very helpful if someone would take him as crew.  He has considerable experience from Tempests and the like.  He can fly a spinnaker though he may be rusty initially.
 
Any takers for the Sunday race this weekend?
