Fellow Sonar Sailors, I'd like to propose we buy trophies for 1st-5th place. We will probably have 15 boats on the line and to finish in the top third in our tight fleet should be rewarded. All in favor? John

        All,

I have contacted Trophies by Linda... and she tells me that for $20 to $25 will get a nice trophy for our upcoming regatta... My thought is that to get 3 trophies one for First, Second and Third place...with the first place trophy being larger than 2nd and 3rd place.

This price includes engraving...The trophies will have a sailboat figure and will be on a 6" to 8" podium with the sailboat figure about another 8".....

Reminder...These will NOT be traveling trophies...

The total cost will be well under $100 for all three trophies....comments or suggestions?

On another note, we had 12 boats on the line last night...Congratulations to John, Liz and crew for their convincing win!!! I notice that John performs better when Liz is on the boat??? Way to crack the whip Liz!!

Tomorrow begins the Women at the helm series in the Bay...Keep an eye on blue boat Sonar...and Kaitlin (sp?)...But if Liberty gets her mast reinstated..then Shelly is a force to be reckoned with....and then there is Matty Sligh...and, well, you all know how she can be!!!

Good Luck to all Woman tomorrow!

        cf
