Actually, the WYC U.S. Sailing membership discount for boat owners full
membership dues was raised to $30 beginning 2011. Therefore, 1/2 of your
membership is subsidized by the club, leaving you no reason not to join.

There has been some talk about whether or not you need to be a member of US
Sailing to participate in the Sonar North American Championship.

 

My question is, if you are not a paid member of US Sailing, WHY AREN'T YOU?
Why would you not support the national association of your sport?  The
Wayzata Yacht Club offers a great incentive by allowing you to take $25 off
your annual yacht club dues if you are a paid US Sailing member.

 

Sailboat racing at the Wayzata Yacht Club does not operate in a vacuum.  We
are part of something bigger.  YOU are part of something bigger.  Pay your
share.

 

If you are an 8-year-old gymnast, and you want to compete in a gymnastics
competition, you cannot register unless you pay your dues to the US
Gymnastics Association.  The kids who sail in the Junior Olympics have to
join US Sailing.  

 

Individual membership is $60.  There is a significant discount if you join
for 2 years or 3 years.  Do it today.
