I volunteer to help tomorrow (8/29) from 4:00 to 8:00. I would like to have
Sesame Street weighed during that time.

Thanks.

Carmella

Subject: [Sonar] Important update to all local skippers for Sonar NA's

Our measurement days for local boats remains to be August 29 through 31
(Mon-Wed) and Sept 5-6 (Mon Labor day and Tuesday) from 4:00PM to 8PM.

What we request now is for the day that your boat is to measured, is that
you are able to assist with your own boat plus two others. We are going to
'assembly line' the measurement process in that there will be 2 participants
shuttling boats to the gin pole area and back from the crane, 2 pulling and
reinserting masts for measurements and two working the crane for weighing.
Skippers will not be responsible for their own boat from end to end but will
take a part of the assembly line process. We believe that this will make
the process far more efficient and much less of an overall burden on
everybody.

All boats registered must be at least weighed. Some boats, as Ernest has
indicated, do not need measurements in other ways (there will be more
officially in another email on that matter). Ernest, will know what
measurements need to be done with which boats and is the official
adjudicator of the process.

Since we only rent the scale for a limited amount of time, skippers must
arrange to provide the personnel for the assembly line. We are ultimately
expecting to do about 5-6 boats per measurement session and have about 26 to
do so it will be busy! If you miss those dates, or don't provide any
assistance for the measurement of your boat, then the measurement service
will NOT be considered part of your registration fee.

Those of you with boats that are not at WYC (e.g. #25, 69 and 822), please
check with Steve Bren to see if there is some way that you can keep your
boat at a slip for the day/night that you are being measured in case an
oppotunistic time slot opens up. He's been given a heads up that this is
going to be going on.

Each evening, we are requesting 6 volunteers minimum besides the measurer,
Ernest Brody. At this time we have the following:

Monday August 29: Howard Noreen, Thomas Brown, John Rainaldi, Tim
Carlson? (2 more needed)

Tuesday August 30- Ben Bergum, Mark Kochendorfer (3 more needed)

Wednesday August 31- Thomas Brown (5 more needed!)

Sept 5 and 6 - TBD

Please email me ASAP on who from your crew can be available to help fill the
assembly line need for the evening that you're being measured, or the
evening that you intend to measure.
