Thank you Tom for hosting for the Sonar fleet!

I like the idea of meeting at 6pm and dinner afterwards. Business before pleasure, if you will.

Thanks!
Hans

Hi Marty and everyone,

We can accommodate the meeting in our basement. Given the length of the meeting, we may want to have people show up at 6:00 for the meeting and then have dinner. Alternatively, we can have dinner close to 7:30 and the meeting afterwards. Let me know what people prefer.

Have a great day.

Tom K.

Hello Fleet 5

Here's an attempt to organize the business and discussion for the meeting on Saturday, 8:00 sharp, Kvale's. Hopefully this agenda helps you all get through it all efficiently. Good Luck! As you may recall, I can't be there. I'm sure many will share their ideas but, in particular, I invite those of you who have joined the fleet in recent years to share your perspective, please! Various people are mentioned below next to topics. If you're not able to be there to lead that area of discussion, please delegate as best you can. Thanks, MF

Tom K,. in past years it was nice when the meeting location could be separate from the socializing location. Might you have some separate space in the basement or garage that could be used for the meeting?

OLD or RECURRING BUSINESS:
Fleet Officer Slate - I believe we're entering the second season of our two-season terms, correct?
              Fleet Cpt. - Marty Fossen
              Fleet Treasurer - Sarah Olmstead
              Fleet Secretary - Howard Noreen
        Any impeachments? resignations?
As for myself, I'm willing to continue if you all allow it, but if someone else is wanted and wants to do it, I can be flexible.

Lonar Date? Traditionally it's been in place of Big Island 3. The effect to the BI series scoring
Star of the North Regatta, and it's effect on C series scoring
Should we continue the idea of awarding average points to a boat when they miss a WYC race when attending an out-of-town Sonar event?

Bert and Ernest, could you explain how we get the scoring changes made official with WYC's system?

Sonar Sunday Snacks - when to expect to see a schedule
Running with the theme, a suggestion was offered to add a Thursday treats. Discussion?

Hosting B-Series party (volunteers to organize?)

Any other old business, unresolved issues from last season?

FLEET 5 TREASURY

     Treasurer's report (Sarah)

Fleet member dues - Historically $20/boat/season. Same this year?
Discussion on usage of fleet money, discussion of process/rules about money usage
historically money outlays for B-series party only, other Sonar events have been self supporting
By the way, we now have a WYC Sonar Fleet 5 checking account

NEW BUSINESS
Zebra mussels, their effect on our boats, outboards, moorings, slips, other facilities
Boat lift option, historically Sonars wet-sailed but if lifts are desired to aid with Zebra mussel issue, is that okay with everybody?

    Other New Business

Are their old Fleet 5 bylaws available for review? How about minutes on past meetings and decisions?
If so, perhaps they could be added to our Sonar fleet page within WYC.org
