[Sonar] FW: Keelboat Certification Candidate needs a ride on a Sonar

I plan to go out on Sesame Street today around 5 p.m. Wind should be 5-7
from the east, perfect direction to raise the main in the slip.

Lasers will be racing in the bay, and the A Scows will be racing on the main
lake. I think I would prefer to stay in the bay, but watching the A's race
is always fun.

If we go out together, can we practice single-handing? LOL

I talked to Ernie, he is having a sail modified for our reefing test, but we
probably won't be able to practice in advance. Hopefully, everyone has
reefed a sail in a past life, and can read about it in a book or online to
refresh. It's not likely that we will be tested in heavy air, so it should
not be difficult.

Hopefully, we can also use Fins Up or Mike if enough people come out.

I'm going to call Bill now. Has anyone invited him to crew on a Sonar on
Thursday night? We may have a spot available on Sesame Street, as the only
day I could take the CPR/First Aid class is Thursday in St. Paul. I'm sure
I will not be able to make it back in time to race. I'm still trying to get
my swimming certification. That's today's project.

Yeah, I can't do Wednesday because I'm teaching a class. Be nice if we at
least got the reefable (is that a word now?) main out and took a look at it
if nothing else.

No wind this evening. Tomorrow looks almost as bad. I'm willing to take
Sesame Street out tomorrow night if Robb cannot make it Wednesday. I am
going to try to practice Wednesday night, although I am currently committed
to taking people out for the Adaptive Sailing program. Maybe practice
Wednesday around 4:00, so I can still do the Adaptive Sailing at 6:30.

I wouldn't mind going out as well. Been ages since I've been on a Sonar. But
I have only Monday and Tuesday to make it.

And who is setup to reef? Yes, we're supposed to do that in the class but
does anyone in the fleet have their main setup to reef. Maybe the WCSC
boats?
