[Sonar] AP flag down,! Time to sail on Fridays?

Sesame Street will not be getting wet this year, for a number of reasons. I am not tolerating the heat well at all, and am barely able to walk for reasons yet to be determined.  Maybe I will soon be a candidate for adaptive sailing?

To all WYC Sonarians:

Many of you have likely gotten the email from our Commodore which states that within social distancing precautions, that practice racing can begin again at WYC!

I encourage you to research the rules and look at the modified schedule. https://www.wyc.org/restartracing It won't be the same, but it won't be like it was so far this season (as in nada racing).

I'd like to propose that we get 'our' Friday's back by having an open format sail. Plan multiple short practice races in the bay. We can set our own course using our Friday buoys. (Team racing format is likely not as workable)  Unfortunately, no after sail socialization, grill action or JR's famous ice cream sandwiches at this time though.

Please use the "Daily Check-In" QR code / Web Registration for contact tracing and follow WYC rules as specified at WYC Restart Racing  https://www.wyc.org/restartracing

Seems like a lot of overhead, but it’s not.  It’s just good respectful common sense that we've already come a long way to adapting to.

Should we say 5:30 on Friday as usual?

Sonar Fleet please lead by example. Crew arrangements will need to be facilitated by the skippers before we meet.... go directly from your car to your boat and back… we can talk on VHF 68 from our cars and on the water

We'll need the same person to both deploy and retrieve the practice bouys so that only one person handles them as well.

Please let me know what your concensus is.
