[Sonar] Sonar Fleet Friday Sail and Social: starting May 21

All:

We have our first in a series of Sonar sails and socials for 2021 beginning
on May 21.

With the rules relaxing somewhat,  we are now able to hold these events
beginning with our first one on Friday, May 21 at 5:30PM.

No experience is necessary to attend this event.    This is an event for
WYC guests,  WYC crew members and WYC Sonar boat owners.

The only change that we'll need to make for the time being is to drop the
grilling/food portion afterwards.  There are still  MDH decisions being
made about the 'touchpoint' activities such as a group grilling activity.
   We are hoping that by the subsequent Sonar Friday (June 4) that we will
be able to have the grill and especially ice cream sandwiches that we're
used to from pre-covid years.

 The social gathering however afterwards (since we'll be less than 500) is
now allowable.

Also, sailing is a go and we can certainly plan a good event that fits our
group interests.

Here is how I'd like to plan the sailing part of the event:

1. if we have four or more boats,  we can choose a team racing format.

2. if we have fewer than 4 boats,   We'll put out three buoys and we can do
1 leg races or practice starts....whatever the group wants.

We'll start roughly at 5:30 and pick crews for boats.    We'll go out until
about 7:30 and then return to the docks.   People are more than welcome to
socialize after that.

As we've done before,  we do need an RSVP so we can sort of plan how many
boats and crews we'll have.     Please let me know as soon as possible to
this email address.

If we have inclement weather,  for this particular May 21 event,  we'll
probably cancel.   However in future events,  as hopefully the rules loosen
further,  we have other fleet building activities and the food/grilling.

If the rules change even before May 21,  we may modify this and I'll send
another email out.
