<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I don't know how common this is, but I taped up my
bailers from the outside and put a few cups of water in each bailer
pocket. Within seconds a slow but steady trickle of water was visible from
inside running down into the bilge.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>After removing the bailer flanges and digging
out all the silicone, I can see that I have a crack in each bailer pocket right
where the cockpit mates to the hull. This is not at all visible from
the inside the hull.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Given that this crack is well below water line,
this explains a lot of the water. I was never sure, but it seemed like it
did not need to rain for Liberty to leak.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>This might be kind of hard to fix--there must be
some movement between the cockpit mold and the hull even though they appear to
be solidly glassed together.</FONT></DIV>
