North Regatta is fast approaching. There are a lot of jobs to be done, and
I am hoping that you will generously volunteer, as you have in the past.
Some of the work needs to be done while the competitors are on the water, so I
am hoping for volunteers from other fleets, or non-sailing family members (hard
to believe, but there are a few). Please do not forward this email to your
entire address book of people who want to come drink and party for free.
(Yes, some people did that last year. I don't have the time or energy to
deal with it.) I also cannot promise a Mount Gay hat to volunteers.
We may have a lottery for leftover hats.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

NEED: This year, for the first time, we will have 3 Sonars with disabled
sailors. We need one volunteer dedicated to each boat, to help with
rigging, boarding, unboarding and putting the boat away. That means being
there early for dock time, and being there when the boats return to the dock,
even though we do not know when that will be. These volunteers can
certainly help on shore with meal prep, etc. while the sailors are racing.
If anyone can sign up to help a boat all 3 days, that would provide great
consistency, an opportunity to get to know the sailors, and really feel like you
helped someone do something they would not otherwise be able to
do.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>
