Maynard’s donated 150 burgers, buns, etc. for the Sonar North Americans. (It was our Sunday lunch.) Beth Maloney wanted to also give us drink coupons for the skipper bags, but they would have been valid only for the weekend of the regatta. I thanked her and told her that was very nice, but I doubted that people would drive to Maynard’s when they could eat and drink for free at the WYC. She said she understood, but that it made it hard to be enthusiastic about sponsorship.
