As a warning : I've heard that they especially like the intakes of water cooled engines.   My Honda 2hp is air cooled,  but I tip it up now rather than leave it in the water like I did.    I'm also going through the sacrificial zinc about every 2 years now...same as I had to do in salt water  :(<br>

</span><span><br>I am very surprised that they could get that large if the bailers were<br>operated once or twice a week.  I always close mine underway unless we<br>are taking on water.  I did not have any visible zebras.  The rudder<br>
post is high enough that it should not be an issue either (I think--I<br>hope).<br><br>The few times I forgot to open my bailers at the bouy we got enough<br>rain that the boat almost sank.  Ha ha.<br><br>They sure don't seem to like the painted surfaces.<br>
