------------------------------

PUT IN DAY:
- Mini-put in on April 24th from 10-3 during clean-up day.
- Main put in day on May 1st from 8:00 - 5:00.
- A signup sheet will be posted at the clubhouse on April 16th at 9:00am
sharp.
- Cost will be $45.
- If you wish to purchase an unlimited use self-serve swipe card, you can
put in at anytime. Since the card reader has not yet be installed, please
notify Steve (manager at wyc.org) to state you would like a card when they are
available. You will also need to attend a Crane Orientation Meeting before
operating the crane.

TENTATIVE CRANE POLICY:
The complete crane policy will be published in the next club weathermark
which should be in your mailboxes next week. The short story is this...
- $45 for a single event crane use where someone from the club operates the
crane for you.
- $175 for an unlimited use self-serve swipe card. These cards are only for
the use with your specific boat.
- A $50 2-week self-serve swipe card will be available for unplanned
mid-season crane use.

CRANE ORIENTATION MEETING:
If you wish to purchase a self-serve swipe card, you will need to attend a
crane orientation meeting. The first orientation meeting will be this
Thursday (4-15-04) at 6:00pm at the big green crane in the west lot. There's
no fee, no pre-registration, the meeting will take about 45 minutes, and
there will be no test. A second crane orientation meeting will occur April
28th at 6:00pm.

BOAT LIFT PUT-IN DAY:
E-mail Steve Bren at manager at wyc.org if you would like to be notified of
when boat lifts will be moved to your slips. Otherwise, your lift will
magically appear in your slip where you left it last fall and an invoice
will be mailed to you from Don Anthony.

SPRING CLEAN UP DAY:
Clean-up day will occur April 24th. This is the first official
hang-out-at-the-club-day. Food and beverages will be privided. The routine
is to show up around 8:00am and ask Bren what you can help out with. Work is
typically finished by early afternoon. This counts for a participation point
if you're a total-green-slimer and you need participation points.

FLEET CAPTAIN MEETING:
New for 2004 is a Fleet Captain meeting this Thursday (4-15-04) at 7:00pm at
the club. This will be an opportunity for fleet captains and the board to
discuss plans for 2004, coordinate fleet captain responsibilities, and
discuss fleet captain suggestions for the club board. If you have a
suggestion or request that you'd like to have heard, this is a good time to
call your fleet captain and voice your opinion.

ADA REGATTA:
Last year the WYC American Diabetes Regatta raise 46 thousand dollars and
our goal this year is to raise sixty thousand dollars for Diabetes research.
This is the time to start talking to your crew and begin lining up sponsors.
Consider having your crew contact their employers to see if they will
sponsor or match contributions for your boat. Prizes will be awarded to the
boat with the greatest donations. For more information visit
www.wyc.org/ada.htm or speak with Scott Brigham, Pete Ice, Dick Korinkie, or
Dallas Johnson. To get a jump on the competition to raise donations, contact
Jenni Hargraves of the ADA at 763-593-5333 x 6787 to request a sponsorship
packet and team collection envelope.

BAYFIELD RACEWEEK:
Bayfield Raceweek has their entry forms and race schedule online at
http://www.bayfieldraceweek.org/ This is the 25th Anniversary for Raceweek
and it's going to be a great event. Also, the club will be providing free
use of the club crane for boats registered to attend Raceweek.

See you on the water...
