WAR DECLARED - CHAMPIONSHIP OF CHAMPIONS RACE
The WYC will be battle in the MYC next Wednesday evening in the Lake
Minnetonka Championship of Champions. Our club champions in several fleets
will be battling top MYC sailors in Club 420s at lighthouse island. You
might even see Blake out there just to prove he's not strictly a power
boater.

The date is August 25th at 6:15 at MYC Lighthouse Island.

And yes...this event qualifies you for spouse chips, date points, crew perk
points, or family quality time if you bring your loved ones with you.

My suggestion is this...
- Load your boat down with refreshments and cruise on over to MYC to watch
the races. Bring a horn or whatever and basically enjoy yourself in a manner
that works for you.
- Afterwards, partake in the MYC Grill-n-Chill at their clubhouse. They have
a great dinner planned with Chicken, Beef and Veggie Shish Kabob's, Pita
Bread, Hummus and other spreads, Greek Salad, and Baklava. This will provide
you an opportunity to apologize for all your trash talking during the race.
- Take a sunset cruise home.


BURTON CUP and CORN ROAST
You can finish last in every race all season and still have a good season if
you win the Burton Cup. Don't take the weekend off. Be a real sailor and
show up on Saturday morning for the oldest and coolest race on the lake. And
you are also invited to attend the Famous Corn Roast at MYC after the race
at 6:00pm on Lighthouse Island (rsvp requested, vist www.mycsailing.org to
rsvp).  Note: if Wayzata Bay is the first mark of the course - depends on
wind direction- please give a wide berth to A's and E's sailing at 40+kts
while you are motoring to the start area.


MOTIVATIONAL SEMINAR - WSF FUNDRAISER
Lose enough races lately that life's got you down? Tell me about it. But you
