WYC and Wayzata Sailing Foundation launch new community sailing school!
WYC and WSF are excited to announce the start of a new community youth sailing program based at Wayzata Yacht Club. The Wayzata Sailing School will provide sailing instruction to youth from age 8 through college. Our goals are to have an accessible, affordable and available sailing venue for all area kids that promotes the lifetime sport of sailing. We will also provide instruction and coaching in the sport of sailboat racing. More... http://www.wyc.org/wsf/wss

Foundation Cup
New this year is a fundraiser regatta that's tied to the Commodore's Cup races. Replacing the Portofino Cup, entrants will use their results from the Commodore Cup races as a starting point to winning the Foundation Cup. Now you can actually buy a higher finishing place by donating additional money to the WSF. Much more efficient that wasting money on new sails! Support the WSF and win the Foundation Cup. Haul Out
Yes, the end is near. In fact, this Saturday is the first haulout date for the club. This first weekend is a self serve deal. The crane will be left on, and you can remove your boat and leave $45 in the ice box $ drop. The following weekends (see your schedule) will include a full service haulout with someone to assist those who require help.

Crowded Saturday
The WYC is hosting the H.S. Fall Colors regatta at the club this Saturday, along with the J22 Districts, and the Commodore Cup/Foundation Cup, plus it's also an official haul-out day. When I read this, two words come to mind: CAR POOL. It's going to be crowed in the west lot this weekend, please do your part to help out. http://www.metrocommuterservices.org/ridesharing.htm

J22 Districts
Hey, we even have boats visiting from other parts of the western great lakes districts this year. It's going to be cool! http://www.wyc.org/j22/Districts.htm
