Yes, it's that time again. Sailing season is almost here.

DUES ONLINE PAYMENT
Those e-mail messages you've received from "WYC Accounts" are not phishing e-mails but actually links to pay your dues online. If you're a Family member who belongs to US Sailing, don't forget to subtract $25. Paper invoices are following in the mail for the traditionalists.

If you didn't receive an e-mail invoice, is it because you're not a member of the club? Of course we're a welcoming group but we know when someone has overstayed their welcome. To join as a crew member, download a form at http://wyc.org/about.htm#How%20to%20Join and mail it in with a check or just send the relevant data to manager at wyc.org and request an e-mail invoice for payment.

ADA REGATTA
The ADA Regatta is sooner than you think. June 9-10 with the same great afternoon schedule. We're considering changing the fleet format to ALL PHRF with new fleet splits. If you like or hate the idea, voice your opinion on our website poll at www.wyc.org

ADA SPONSORSHIP
WYC has raised nearly $200,000 for the American Diabetes Association. This is the time of the year when we secure corporate sponsorship for the event and we need your help. Our longtime major sponsor (Sears Imported Auto) is going through ownership changes and it appears they will not be with us anymore. Would you like your company to contribute toward a good cause at a place you care about? The ADA isn't an event WYC does for ourselves, it's for the community and it's a great opportunity for a company to also be a showcase to the community. Visit http://www.wyc.org/ada.htm to view our sponsorship packages. Then contact Jenni Hargraves at jhargrav at diabetes.org or 763-593-5333 x6787 to see what a difference you can make.

2007 RACE SCHEDULE
The schedule is online in PDF format. www.wyc.org

HELL FREEZES OVER
...and that can mean only one thing...the WYC start sequence is changing! At the recent fleet captain's meeting it was mutually agreed upon to change the start order to...drum roll please....7.9 / j-24 / j-22 / Sonar / C25 / PHRF 1 & Ensign / MORC II & III and PHRF II & III. The start order is roughly based on boat speed and we expect this will reduce course congestion. Stay tuned for Bert's next feat of parting the waters between Wayzata Bay and the Main Lake.

2007 J24 NORTH AMERICANS
Just when you thought it was safe to buy a PHRF boat, the J24 fleet promises to bring one of the highest profile regattas in the country to WYC next year.

ERIC IN IRAQ
Eric Bowen recently visited Iraq as a photo journalist. Although he's is not the only WYC person who's been to Iraq he does have a neat blog site and is currently doing some local speaking engagements. Visit http://ericiniraq.blogspot.com/

See you soon!
