BANQUET WRAP-UP
Thanks to everyone for a great banquet. The bylaw vote passed, we had some
great silent auction items, the live auctions were a hoot, the trophy photos
were works of art, Johnny & Kristin won the raffle, the slideshow rocked,
the awards presentation was actually entertaining this year, we gave out a
new award you'll never want to win, the food didn't taste like chicken,
Ernie Brody was honored as our inaugural Emeritus Board Member, the band
rocked, lots more stuff I can't repeat in print, and it seemed that everyone
went home happy.
Key Stats:
- WSF Auction - 14k raised
- Andy Crew - Matt Johnson
- Sportsmanship - Blake Middleton
- Foster Award - Ernie Brody
- Commodore Special - Larry Aubuchon
- Doc Sam - Mark Weum
- Bail Bond - WYC BOD
- BOTY - Ernie Worthley
- Thanks Don Sundell for organizing another great banquet!

WOMENS ROLEX
Most of the MWST didn't stand up at the banquet when honored for race
participation because most of them were in a truck someplace in Kansas
towing a J22 to the Rolex. Currently they are doing great considering the
competition. Susan Mattis Turnham of Duluth is having a smoking regatta and
is currently ahead of Anna Tunnicliffe.

DEEP WATER
The movie Deep Water is coming to the Lagoon Theater December 6th. This
Golden Globe race documentary is about the Donald Crowhurst drama/tragedy
that occurred during the greatest sailboat race of all time (excluding WYC
racing). Who's going to organize a club fieldtrip? Craiggae, where are you?

UNCLAIMED TROPHIES / GLASSWARE
Photos, Glassware, Trophies from the banquet are at the clubhouse waiting to
be picked up. Please come pick them up and give them a place to be loved and
admired.

SHAKELTON CUP
Bren has been checking flight schedules to Hawaii, but the intrepid
Shakelton Cup sailors continue checking the water temperature to make sure
they don't get frozen in. Come down on a Sunday afternoon for a sail to
Maynards. NOR at www.WYC.org.

THANK YOU
This has been an exceptional year at out club. Certainly the most
challenging and eventful year in my memory. Countless members of our sailing
community stepped up to make a positive contribution to our sailing
community. Money, time, sweat, expertise, everything. Not just the sailing
center, but racing, our club, our events, everything. You all rock!
