September 11th (7:00pm at Wayzata City Hall) on your calendar to attend the
Wayzata Planning Commission meeting at the Wayzata City Hall. The meeting
will start at 7:00 PM. This meeting is critical to the Community Sailing
Center. The planning commission will either recommend approval of our CUP
or recommend disapproval to the City Council. Everyone who thinks this property
should be used for community water activities should attend and sign up to speak
in favor of the CUP. The decision of the commission often follows the
citizen consensus, so we want many more people speaking in favor of the sailing
school than opposed. You should let the commissioners know that you think the
sailing school is important to the our youth and a wonderful benefit to the
community. A healthy activity, open to the general public, with emphasis
not only on sailing skills, but responsibility, fairness, and
sportsmanship.
Recently updated information at... <A

M SERIES BEGINS
G is for Gin, T is for Tonic, and M is for
Mangled. YES! It's time for Bumper Boats in the Bay. Bring your hard hats,
leave bumpers on the rail, pay up your insurance and always leave someone to
leeward to look behind the jib. Oh it's going to be fun!

And Connie will have some killer food after the races for those who
survive!

CHAMP of CHAMPS
After a one week delay for wind, the big
race finally took place. It was a big event that was so exciting I could swear I
saw Jennifer Grey whining from one of the boats to put up the Whomper.
Unfortunately for Mathew Modine, John Dennis (J24) kicked his rear and won
with a narrow margin over Jenny Wilson and her skipper Blake
Middleton (RC) with Jeff Solum (A) close behind.
Full Results and
