<DIV>SHACKELTON CUP N.O.R.<BR>Sorry Steve, but popular demand has brought back
the Shackelton Lunch "Races" to Maynard's. Racing will commence THIS
SATURDAY (costumes optional) and all following Saturdays until ice-in or sanity
prevails. Start time is somewhere between 10:00-11:00am or whenever it
feels good. Leading boats must complete a 720 if their lead exceeds shouting
distance. Races are run snow or shine on at least the following dates:
10/31, 11/8, 11/15, 11/22, and 11/29. Valerie is our PRO

party at WYC. Please ensure your trophies are returned to the club (cleaned) by
that date. Each fleet is requested (read: REQUIRED) to have at least one
representative of your fleet help with Trophy Sorting and with Banquet Day
Setup. Contact your fleet captain to volunteer or just to check up on

Race Committee volunteer, Cheryl Paul passed away unexpected last week. Her
partner Craig Lofgren sailing the J22 fleet in the 90's, they were both active
in the club through the 90's and into the first part of this decade.
