magically part around the race course. </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial></FONT><BR><BR>ADA REGATTA and WINE ON WAYZATA
BAY<BR>WOW(b), what a great event. We hit our fundraising goal of $34,000. This
was our tenth anniversary and I wanted to give a special thanks to everyone who
has helped organized and has contributed to the ADA over the past decade. A VERY
special thanks to Jenny Hargrave, Ryann Rathman, and Susan Klimik of the ADA for
their many years of making this event run. Special thanks to Bob Carpenter our
event organizer and Carmella Foster for her hard work this year. Also, JH
Peterson should be recognized for his 10 years of photography and supplying
photos to participants.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>At the awards I announced this would be our last year with the ADA. It's
been a great 10 years, and a decade seemed like a good time to
re-evaluate. The ADA needs to reach large numbers of people for public
awareness (think thousands and thousands) which sailing does not work very
well for.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The Summer Regatta will continue, but we'll talk more about that later. For
now we want to give our sincerest thanks to the ADA. It's been a great
honor to work with you, a great opportunity to give, and we've grown much from
our time with you. Thank You! </DIV>

<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial></FONT><BR>CREW OVERBOARD SEMINAR<BR>This Saturday
(6/19) will be the Crew Over Board seminar at WYC. If you haven't done SEVERAL
crew overboard drills or seminars over the years you need to do this since it's
a fundamental part of being a competent sailor. If you think you're too good or
don't need it, stop being a goof and think again. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Crew overboard seminar includes Classroom presentation including guidelines
and equipment, Summary of recent studies, review of four different procedures,
and one-the-water drills. Meet at the clubhouse after the Saturday Morning Race
(about 1:00). Because this is such and important skill for all our sailors to
have, and because Craigge is the best, this seminar is FREE. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Since the 19th is my anniversary, maybe I'll show up and Amy can practice
throwing me off the boat. If you don't show for the seminar you won't get to see
if it happens!</DIV>

<DIV>NEIGHBORHOOD PLANNING SESSION<BR>Friday from 1:00 to 9:00 and Saturday from
8:00 to 4:00 WYC will be at the Wayzata Bay Shopping Center working on long term
planning issues for WYC, our neighbors, the City of Wayzata, and a host of other
related organization. WYC has a core group of volunteers that have committed to
be at the entire session. However, this is a public and transparent process so
you are welcome to stop by and see how plans are being developed anytime during
the weekend. Friday evening or Saturday afternoon are good times to make a quick
visit if you like. I hope you can make it, but please understand that if our
large numbers end up "overwhelming" the session I might ask some members to move
along. </DIV>

silent auction. All this for only $50 donated to the LMSS at <A
