<div>FALL REGATTAS</div>
<div>It's that time of year again when we try to soften the blow of another end to summer with some great regatta sailing. </div>

<LI>September 11-12 - J22 Districts: If you're not racing, bring your kids by Saturday to jump in the moon walk thingy we're renting. </LI>
<LI>September 18-19 - The Fall Regatta: Sponsored by our good friends at Wayzata Flagship Bank where WYC does all our banking. We've got some new cool trophies this year, some great chili on tap, and maybe even some cornbread if you're nice. <LI>September 25-26 - Star of the North Regatta for Sonars, Capri, and S279 fleets. </LI>

<div>COMMODORE CUP</div>
<div>Hey, we're having FIVE races this year in the Commodore Cup. Is it because your Commodore thinks that racing around the lake is 100 times better than racing around orange balloons. Maybe. Be there. </div>

<div>ZEBRA MUSSELS</div>
<div>These monsters have been spotted in Lake Minnetonka this fall. Plans are still in development regarding what to do, but expect some changes coming to your world. We got through milfoil and we'll get through this as well, but for now understand the following concrete rules...</div>

<LI>Inspect your boat before leaving the ramp. Remove any milfoil (duh) and search for zebras. We have signs posted on the crane discussing this, please read them. </LI>
<LI>No bilge water in your boat when you leave the property, period. Get a sponge and clean it ALL out. Honestly no self respecting racer has bilge water in their hull, but check it and do it before you leave the property. </LI>
<LI>If you find shelled mussels or little black looking things in the bilge water on your boat, park your boat the in the west lot and immediately notify Steve Bren. WYC is currently researching cleaning procedures and equipment to ensure we as a club are ahead of this issue. We will take care of our members on this issue.</LI>
<LI>If we hear of anyone entering or leaving the lake with invasive species, we will hunt you down and ask you to not return. </LI></OL>

<div>JAMES J HILL DAYS</div>
<div>This is the weekend when everyone in Wayzata Celebrates the long history of sailing in Wayzata when James J Hill first owned parts of our property and created a marina to ferry citizens of Wayzata by boat from downtown, past the marsh that's now Wayzata Bay Shopping Center, and over to WYC where the original depot once stood. Mr Hill later moved the depot to downtown Wayzata where there will be a parade this weekend, a car show, and all the stores have big sails (sales) to celebrate sailing. Stop by and check it out before or after racing. </div>
