<DIV>DAVE WEST - 1955-2011<BR>This weekend Dave West suffered a heart attack and passed away. Our thoughts and prayers go out Dave's wife Kim and his family. Dave was not well known to our Minnetonka sailors but was a mainstay of the Apostle Islands sailing his Farr 395 Chippewa on Superior and his Melges 32 in the Caribbean with many WYC sailors. In so many ways Dave represented the very best of what we aspire to as sailors. His zest for life, his pursuit of the next challenge, his value of friendships, his hard work and generosity, his persistence through health challenges, and his ever present ear to ear grin was an inspiration to all. You'll be missed but not forgotten.
